In this episode of Practical Balance, Jen and Janice discuss how Spirit views Divorce and the stages of relationships. There are many relationship options in life like not getting married, getting married for life or having partners for different chapters of life.
Spirit wants us to know that none of us come into this world with the same plan.

There is no one set preference when it comes to relationships. They guide us to Bless and Release relationships that are abusive and disrespectful, and when a person feels they must leave, to leave kindly.
This can be challenging because the abuser both loves and abuses, but out of love and respect for yourself, you must leave a relationship that harms you. Unfortunately, we sometimes love people who are simply not good for us.

Many times, people get into relationships expecting the other person to make them happy, and when that person can’t they want to leave. However, it is the responsibility of the self to make the self happy. Spirit wants us to not compromise, but rather negotiate our way to a happy, healthy, respectful, loving relationship.
It is important to be honest with yourself, and by going within and
getting to know yourself better, you can figure out what makes you happy. Take some time to meditate and go on a journey of self-discovery. “To know the self is to own the self”
