Losing a Dog, a Best Friend, a Family Member #shorts #pets #sad

Losing a loved one is never easy but it's part of life's journey. This was less than 24 hrs prior to Winston suddenly passing away. @karacoreyfitlife and I both struggled very hard with it. I had many regrets and a lot of guilt for a long time. I should have done more with him, I should have done this with him, I should have enjoyed the moments with him more. I promised myself when we got Bruce I would honor Winston by amending all of those regrets.

Winston holds a very special place in Kara and my hearts. He was the first dog we had together. He inadvertently introduced me to the Cane Corso breed 2 days prior to our wedding. He was such a character and I still can't talk about him without tears filming my eyes.

This post is not to make you sad. This post is to make you appreciate what is around you at this very moment because what is here today will not be here forever. And that is part of what makes things so special. Without Winston there would be no Bruce Wayne. Thank you little buddy for giving me this special life I am living.
