Gibraltar, Most Dangerous Airport in Europe; Manchester flight seen through Buildings of City

One of the most dangerous airport in Europe, Gibraltar International. Take a look as this easyJet flight from Manchester is seen through the city scape and the buildings of the center of Gibraltar.

EZY1963 comes in for landing and then an hour later lines up to taxi and depart from Gibraltar, one of the Most Dangerous Airport in Europe.

I was able to film this plane while I was climbing the steps in the town center of Gibraltar. Once I got to the top I was able to see the beautiful departure.

I love how these planes land on a tarmac that is surrounded on all sides by water. This is a must watch to see how close to the water these planes land and take off. There are very few airports in the world like this, that could support commercial airline jets to land and take off under such extreme conditions.

Gibraltar is one of the most dangerous airports in the world because the runway is short, it is surrounded by water on both ends of the tarmac, an international highway bisects the tarmac with cars, bikes and people on foot crossing. The weather caused by the Strait of Gibraltar can lead to brutal crosswinds. The pilots who land here have to be very qualified. Flights to Gibraltar are currently only from the United Kingdom because Gibraltar International Airport is technically a military airport not a civilian one.
