When your orchids are outdoors for the growing season, but have to come inside for the colder months of the year... the chances of orchids being very close together on the shelves are high. Pest control on orchids coming in from the great outdoors, is one of the main Fall Prep Orchid Chores, that cannot be skipped. Removing any possible hiding places where eggs and crawlers can hide on orchids, is fundamental and a step in the right direction to prevent a pest outbreak on your orchids. Removing sheaths is important to remove any hiding places for pests on your orchids and how to remove the sheaths safely without causing damage to your orchids, is what I demonstrate in this video.
