Canada: Federal government and Prince Albert Grand Council sign agreement on community safety

At an event in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Public Safety Minister Marco Medicino signs an agreement with the Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) to explore community-oriented ways to deliver police services and improve safety in First Nations communities. The minister is joined by Brian Hardlotte (grand chief, PAGC), Joseph Tsannie (vice-chief, PAGC), Wally Burns (chief, James Smith Cree Nation), Bobby Cameron (chief, Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations), and Christine Tell (Saskatchewan minister of corrections, policing and public safety). Following the official signing ceremony, the participants take questions from reporters. (October 17, 2022)
