1.) v. 1-2 Believers are connected to Jesus
-We must be connected to Jesus to be fruitful
-We should seek to be close to Him
2.) v.3-6 God's word is how we abide in Christ
-We must abide in Christ by dwelling in and obeying His Word
3.) v.7-9 In the pursuit of His commands, ask God
-Bodly obey and trust Him to provide along the way
-Prayer is for what we need in our ministry not what we want for our comfort
4.) v.10-11 There is joy in obedience to God
-We must obey to find joy
