Town hall reports, In the November midterms, Rhode Island may elect its first Republican to the House since 1992 as part of the likely incoming red wave. As soon as Allan Fung announced his candidacy in February, he generated buzz. As mayor of Cranston, which is 15 percent of Rhode Island's 2nd Congressional District, Fung also ran for governor against former governor Gina Raimondo in 2014 and 2018. Last month, he ran unopposed in the primary.
