Lodging and dislodging a dead Ash

I was hoping I could slip this one into the tiny pocket just slightly left of center but not too far left or it would lodge up in a larger tree there into its crotch. I was hoping it would either break or roll off the branch on the right but knew it might likely hook the small tree in front and get lodged up and sure enough it did.

No biggie. I routinely take down these sorts of lodged tree's (albeit I'm not usually the one lodging them) using this method.

The ax isn't necessary except for the last few chips but I like using it just in case the wood isn't good so I don't get my bar pinched or worse. Once I get weight on the point the ax comes out. Besides, nothing wrong with a little ax work now and again. It is the purest form of this work.
