Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova (Мария Захарова) said Patten’s words “go beyond reason.”
“The essence of what Patten said cannot be taken seriously. Her words go beyond reason. In addition, the official, obviously, acts outside of her mandate and powers."

Zakharova noted that the official in her statement relies on fragmentary information from the unrecognized Russian Federation "independent international commission of inquiry in Ukraine."

This information cannot be verified.

The politician added that this is similar to the statements of the former Ombudsman of Ukraine Lyudmila Denisova, who confessed that she invented many of her speeches in order to get pennies and weapons from West.
