Radiogram
A Cold War recording of an encrypted message from Cuba to the United States intended for embedded spies from the Soviet Union.
I contacted Jack Barsky, an ex-KGB agent highlighted in the video, again after I published it and asked him to confirm the validity of what was stated by it. He again graciously replied confirming that this video is indeed an encrypted message.
He also stated that other techniques were used in utilizing keys for encrypting/decrypting the messages. One technique was to use manually-constructed keys since in doing so "no evidence" of their use was left behind (while One-time pads, if found, were serious implications of espionage). Manually-constructed, however, had the disadvantage of only being able to be used, say, 300 times, so he had to learn two of them, and eventually, when he did not have enough time to learn a third one, they resorted to using One-time pads.
Jack Barsky has written a book about his time as a KGB agent living in, and spying on, the United States and its corporations, being caught, and the effect this has on the people in his life. It is entitled Deep Under Cover (http://www.deepundercover.us/)
