Many people dismiss the people element in business. Major Mistake. People are an important resource and one of the most important in service based businesses that require lots of fulfillment, operations, and customer service.

So every quarter I take my team and the important decision makers and sometimes even some new blood on the team on vacation style mastermind trips. This builds culture and also helps create strong bonds.

Usually we brainstorm what we did well. What we did poorly. What we could do better. And what are strategic vision is to help push our company forward. We also learn what everyone's personal goals are and what their personal vision for success looks like. This way everyone can support each other's personal and professional goals.

Communication is key. And having a vacation setting allows people to see the same facts and figures with different perspectives and come to more useful and nuanced conclusions. If you have a biz I strongly suggest you take your team on trips every quarter and you push hard on community, values, and shared strategic goals.

This is also crucial for your family as well! I often bring them too because in many ways our families must be apart of our professional goals for us to win. So that's why I spent $100k on this trip and I know I will make countless millions many many many year over and over again.

Never cheap out on investing in your people. It's the most important investment you can make aside from investing in your own self.
