Severe drought wildlife pond watering hole check & weed cleanup; Southern Illinois land

This is precisely why I have build many watering ponds on our property here in Southern Illinois, and have also built many of them for client properties. We have had nearly 6 weeks of zero rain, lots of heat and sunshine down here and all of my food plots and clover plots have burned to a crisp. But we still hold lots of deer and wildlife because we have abundant watering sources on our property. Today since I was passing by this particular watering pond I wanted to stop in for a depth check and to maybe scoop it a little deeper if need be for future droughts. I was happy that there was still at least 2 feet of water in it, and just TONS of wildlife tracks around it (I really should have a trail cam on it right now!) So I scooped out some of the weeds, in case it continues to drop. But soon we'll have a pond expert here to fix up and treat our big ponds and I will also have some of the weeds killed off on these smaller ponds to keep them a bit cleaner for wildlife usage.
