Ukrainian foreign minister trapped: 'Yes, we are behind the explosions'

The Ukrainian foreign minister has admitted in conversation with Russians posing as a former US ambassador that Kiev is behind the explosions on the Crimean Bridge.

A video shows Dmytro Koeleba claiming the attack on the bridge. He also admitted that Ukraine is responsible for an explosion that led to a power outage in a Russian city near the border with Ukraine.

Yes, we were
“If you ask me who blows things up in Crimea or in Belgorod […] I say yes, that was us,” said Koeleba in the video, which was shown on Russian state TV on Thursday.

The minister was under the impression that he was talking to Michael McFaul, former US ambassador to Russia. In reality, he spoke to Vovan and Lexus, a Russian comedy duo.

Not enough money
Kiev has not yet officially claimed the attack carried out on October 8 on the Crimean Bridge, which partially collapsed. The bridge must be fully repaired by 1 July next year.

During the conversation, Kuleba also admitted that Ukraine does not have enough money to continue financing the war. "We will keep it up until the end of the year, but after that we have to get into the IMF program," the minister said.
