Corn Dog Battered Fried Pickles

Trying to replicate a dish from a trip to Atlantic Beach, NC at Amos Mosquitos, where their fried pickles were like a corn dog batter. The pickles at Amos Mosquitos were light, fluffy, with a little sweetness coming through. Along with some ranch dressing, it was pretty good.

This rendition was close, but not quite like Amos Mosquitos. Their's were not as dense, and a little more airy.
