Trump Responds After Jan. 6 Committee Subpoenas Him to Testify — Source Says He’d Be Glad
Former President Donald Trump has responded after the House January 6 Committee voted unanimously on Thursday to issue him a subpoena to appear before the panel for questioning under oath.

According to a source close to Trump, the former president said he “loves the idea of testifying” before the committee, Fox News reported late Thursday afternoon. The source added that Trump wants to highlight “how Nancy Pelosi did not call up the National Guard” to protect the Capitol before his rally that day, as well as other issues.

The source also said that if Trump complied with the subpoena, he would also “talk about how corrupt the election was, how corrupt the committee was, and how Nancy Pelosi did not call up the National Guard that Trump strongly recommended for her to do three days earlier on January 3, 2021.” In addition, the source said that it wasn’t clear if Trump will, in fact, comply, but that he “loves the idea” of talking to the panel.
