Simple Beef and Broccoli Chinese on the Blackstone Griddle

This is such an simple dish you can do on a weeknight or weekend and will still impress folks! This beef and broccoli Chinese dish is a winner! Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

3 tablespoons cornstarch, divided
1⁄2 cup water, plus
2 tablespoons water, divided
1-2 garlic cloves
1- 1.5 lbs flank steak cut thinly, against the grain
2 tablespoons oil (whatever you like, I used clarified butter and sesame seed oil)
4 cups broccoli florets
1 small onion, cut into wedges
1 cup bell pepper
1⁄3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon fresh ground ginger
Jasmine Rice

DIRECTIONS

In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 2 tablespoons water and minced garlic until smooth.

Add beef and toss.

Get Blackstone or wok smoking hot, stir-fry beef in 1 tablespoon oil until beef reaches desired doneness; remove and keep warm. Careful don't over cook as you'll cook more later on with the veggies.

Stir-fry broccoli and onion in remaining oil for 4-5 minutes.
Return beef to pan.

Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger and remaining cornstarch and water until smooth; add to the pan.

Cook and stir for 2 minutes.

Serve over rice.
