The Life of a Woman - Stable Diffusion Showcase

Believe it or not, none of the people in this are real! They don't exist. Nevertheless, this VERY independent film follows the entire life of a woman, or many women, from a single cell all the way to the end of life and beyond. I hope it evokes some emotions, because I just made this in a day and it brought a tear to my eye at the end! Made with Stable Diffusion rendering, and Vegas Pro 19 for video editing. Technical details:

🔆 I rendered this in just a few hours using a customized version of Deforum, a Colab implementation of Stable Diffusion, by Stability AI. For those of you who have used it, I can tell you that each frame was rendered with only 15 steps using the euler-historical sampler! 15 steps!!! So, most frames took only about 2 seconds running on a Colab with an A100. Total frame count was 1275. You do the math!

My Hack Details:

🔆 I inserted code to inject a specific previous_frame_strength at a set interval, to force scene changes (0 would be a completely new scene). I haven't tested this, but I think that this allows you to make a change to a part in the middle without it affecting the next scene.

🔆 I did similar with injecting a scale variance at set intervals, which helps to prompt changes in the image.

🔆 I also set up a system where I can sweep the scale from a min to a max, and it will just bounce between those two variables at a set rate of speed.
