Moccasin Exhibit Unveiled At Galt Museum And Archives - October 14, 2022 - Micah Quinn

You have heard the term walk a mile in my shoes. Now the Galt Museum and Archives is inviting people to view a new exhibit where they will walk a mile in an Indigenous person’s moccasins. It showcases 18 unique stories of Kainai and Piikani First Nation members. Camina Weasel Moccasin, the curator of the exhibit, says the idea first began in May.

The plan is to have the exhibit up at the Galt until the end of the year. There is the potential for it to become even bigger featuring youth and the challenges they face.
