Who And What You Are

I am titling this message today, “Who And What You Are,” both now in this life and the one to come. I believe God's people should know who they are, and how important they are, both to God and man.

We were chosen in Christ, before the creation of the world. You are predestined, either to be chosen, or lost. But God gives you the privilege of choosing who you will serve and where you will spend eternity.

Ephesians 1:5
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

It is my job to bring God's good pleasure and His will to you today. The Lord is anxious to shower His good pleasure upon you through His will. It’s peaceable, loveable, gentle, kind, and merciful.

Ephesians 1:6
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

People, whether you have been taught right or not, God says that He wants you to be accepted in His Son, Jesus Christ. Today is the day for that acceptance. Whether you’re a Christian, or whether you’re not, today is your day. This is the hour that God is speaking to you to bring you forth unto Himself through His redemption and redemptive power through Christ.

Ephesians 1:7
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Once God has forgiven you of your sins, that's all it takes. You don't have to keep repenting every day, over and over again. You only have to repent once. God forgives your sins and that’s the end of it. If you do make a mistake, all you have do is look up and say, “Jesus, forgive me of what I've thought, said and done that’s not like you and blot it out.” Our God is one that is tolerant and will forgive us seventy times seven, if necessary.
