Welcome back to the Life Of Elvis Podcast!
In Episode 18 I interview Tim Lodgen, a former US Marine, mental health and addiction advocate, and speaker.

After being addicted to alcohol, cannabis, and painkillers for 27 years (!) he finally managed to put this dark part of his life to rest. In our discussion he openly and vulnerably shares everything he went through during those years - how after coming back from the Marines he quickly spiraled into a deep depression, and used alcohol to deal with his feelings of worthlessness.

Multiple suicides attempts, close to 50 jobs, and a few divine interventions later, with the help of his friend Brandon Novak (known from the show Jackass), Tim finally went to rehab and turned his entire life around.

Now he is a frequent guest on podcasts and events, sharing his experiences to help others. Tim is also currently training for a bodybuilding competition, since training plays a big roll in him staying on the right path.

Listening to Tim's story wasn't the easiest, but it comes to show how much one can go through and still turn their life around. It's truly never too late for any one of us!
