Necrofugitive is a brutal 2D action game about an evil shapeshifter and his attempts to evade being taken in dead or alive. Experience fast paced combat and intense fight or flight decisions as you are pursued by medieval justice!

You are a shapeshifting warrior of Skoroz, the eldritch god of chaos. The Avencians, your sworn mortal enemy, have dealt a staggering blow to Skoroz as all of his followers lay dead, captured, or missing. Weakened and outnumbered, you are the vengeful deity's last hope at claiming revenge and laying waste to Avencia for good. Explore and fight through a medieval world on the brink of collapse as famine, pestilence, and warfare rage across Avencia as a result of your actions!

Necrofugitive is a fast paced and brutal action game that focuses on replicating the feeling of being hunted and on the run. With multiple factions each fighting each other for control of Avencia, your enemies are numerous beyond reckoning, and will relentlessly chase you down if you are sighted. Despite having the deck stacked against you, the Prisoner possess frighteningly powerful shapeshifting abilities to help you fight back. Your skill tree provides a wide range of playstyle options, ranging from powerful combat abilities to shred opponents to stealth and shapeshifting abilities to avoid detection. There are countless ways to customize your build - become a silent but lethal shadow crawler, or an all out killing machine focused on leaving the biggest trail of destruction behind you! Blessed by the eldritch powers of your vengeful god, can you bring the downfall of the realms of men?

Necrofugitive features enemies with intelligent and reactive AI that can work together to bring your rampage to an end. Each soldier is unique, with differing personalities that alter their decisions during combat. Rather than just charging into certain death, soldiers can identify and retreat from danger, form defensive positions, organize ambushes, and even obey the direction of a commander. Your enemies are also studying you - the longer you spend in a fight, the longer the combatants can learn from your attacks, allowing them to effectively counter you! Using a wide variety of abilities during combat helps keep your enemies guessing!

Necrofugitive also features hand-drawn animations and dynamic lighting effects to bring the world of Avencia to life. From collapsed dungeons to sun-kissed forests, the world of Necrofugitive is made to feel authentic as possible.
