We depart Darwin to sail around the Cobourg Peninsula. Anchoring at Popham Bay we discover a mangrove creek filled with coral and catch our first Northern Territory mud crab. We sail on to Port Essington where we have to refill our water tanks due to a minor mishap and visit the Victoria Ruins, a British garrison settlement abandoned in 1849.
