Is this Russian training video real?

In any deployment, you are going to have good training units and bad training units. Anyone who has deployed with the US Army Reserves or US National Guard during the global war on terror can attest to the wide variations in training standards.

It's also pretty common for soldiers to be visited by higher-ranking soldiers to inspect the troops.

The two generals are Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-bek Yevkurov. So these would be the kind of people who would visit a unit to inspect training.

A number of people mentioned that the sound of rifle fire can be heard, but the soldiers do not have magazines in the weapons. It's actually pretty common for soldiers to train with no magazines in their weapons. Although the firing sounds are unexplained. They could be echos from other ranges or they could have been added in post by a journalist to make the video more exciting.

Some people mentioned the soldiers using chemical protective suits and whether this indicated that Russia may be planning to use chemical or nuclear weapons. Chemical protective training is normal in every Army.
