Heavy rainfall passed through the province of Trapani in western Sicily during the night from Wednesday to Thursday and Thursday morning. There were flash floods in many places.

The most difficult situation was in the area of ​​Salina Grande, Marausa, Rilievo and Guarrato. The rain fell so much that the roads and properties were flooded, and the water got into houses and other buildings.

Some inhabitants fled from the rising water to the roofs of their houses. At least several rescue operations were carried out. In some of them helicopters had to be used. There were places where water flooded cars almost to the roof. Drivers got stuck in cars.
