Session 3: The First Commandment and the Book of Revelation

Notes: SHORTURL.AT/UZV69

A. The life of David is one of the most dynamic stories in the Bible. He is known as the man after God’s heart. He began as a lonely child from a poor family who lived in a small town. His story is of a young man who was nobody in man’s eyes, who learned he was a “somebody” in God's.
14 The LORD has sought for Himself a man after His own heart… (1 Sam. 13:14)

The Lord sought for David and is still seeking for those with a heart like David. The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. (2 Chr. 16:9)

True worshipers...for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. (Jn. 4:23)

Being a person after God’s heart means to commit to obey the commands of God's heart, to study the emotions of God's heart, and to contend for the purposes of God's heart.
