The October 14, 1781.

The anniversary of the storming of two key British forts by Allied forces. These two forts are all that stood in the way between completion of the second parallel line to the York.

The attack on Redoubt 10 was handled by American forces, led by Alexander Hamilton and Pot. The attack on Redoubt 9 by French forces., led by Vicomte de Viomenil.

A combined 800 men, 400 French, 400 American, emerged from their position in the first parallel siege line to launch a daring attack on the two forts with nothing more than their bayonets! The troops were forbidden to load their muskets for fear that a stray shot could jeopardize the mission.
