Is it better to invest with a partner or alone?. What does Benjamin Z Miller think?

Good question.

If you are investing alone, then you need a mentor. It is so critical as a new investor to have a mentor help guide you and keep you from making a lot of mistakes. Many new investors don’t know what they don’t know and when they make mistakes it can be very damaging.

This is a choice that each investor has to make. It depends on your personality and your goals. If you are the type of person that likes to work alone, you probably will like investing alone more. Or, if you are more social, you probably will more enjoy investing with others.

It is not only a question of what you like, it is also a question of the deal or asset you are acquiring and how you intend to source the capital and what skills are needed to manage the asset.

Before you do any investing you should invest more time and money in your financial and legal education. I offer education and training to landlords, engineers, doctors and dentists, and many others that would like to learn how to enjoy the benefits of investing as quickly as possible.
