Truth vs deception - let's pray

Let's pray for God to reveal to us all truth and revelation, so that we are not deceived by the twisting of scriptures or believable stories/nice ideas. I am impressed to pray for the church to be set free from anything that has been taught over many years as truth, but that departs from God's original intent and is driven by the religious spirit.

Keep in mind, the hallmark of deception is that we do not know we are deceived, and often will persecute or criticize others thinking we are doing God's will. Let's ask God to show us where we have believed half truths or out right lies from the enemy, let's humble ourselves and ask Jesus to reveal to us who He really is.

And ALWAYS deal with people whom you deem to be in deception/false teaching with LOVE, and not bringing accusations. Accusations are from the enemy, so then you are not acting with God's heart.

What the word of God says:
Rom 16:17-20
Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. 18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. 20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

1 Tim 4:6-11
If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. 7 But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. 8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. 9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. 10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 11 These things command and teach.

Matthew 24:4-14
And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
