Healing A Battered Spirit

When darkness descends like a thief in the night,
Wise is the one who searches for the light.
If evil attempts to viciously on one’s soul feed,
Negate wickedness with benevolence of deed.

When hate is the order for the upcoming day,
Bid servings of love and kindness to send it away.
Reach to the ground to give rise to new birth.
Sow seeds of promise to grow in kindness of earth.
