EMERGENCY LANDING over unruly passenger 🇮🇩

Turkish Airlines flight 56 from Istanbul to Jakarta made an emergency diversion to the Indonesian city of Medan yesterday. This happened as an unruly passenger on the plane could apparently not be directly calmed down. In a short video from one of passengers on board, it’s obvious that flight attendants are trying to restrain the violent passenger with black plastic wraps while he is kicking people around him.

The short video however, does not show the reason for the violent behavior, but a few passengers on the plane were able to confirm the passenger was a fellow Indonesian. Passengers can be heard discussing and confirming this in Indonesian.

It also didn’t take long for pictures to spread of the unruly passenger being restrained in a wheelchair. He was escorted off the plane by local police and airport staff for further investigation. It is not known if the man was detained. Flight TK 56 left for it’s final destination of Jakarta just over an hour later, less one passenger.
