$200 million airport STILL EMPTY 🇮🇩

There is a lot of wind here but right behind me is the main terminal building of Kertajati international airport here in West Java, Indonesia. Eehm. I’m almost alone here. The airport is not operating. There are no daily flights, no weekly flights and no cargo flights. That’s not just because of the pandemic, that’s because this airport is in the middle of nowhere.Show more

There was a once weekly flight to Kuala Lumpur once before the pandemic and a few daily flights from here to Jakarta and Surabaya. Anything else never really took off.
