Not Under Law But Under Grace?

What's with this suppose smart-alec Son Jesus that came to earth and "did away" with His Fathers law that certain denominations teach? Is this teaching Biblically accurate? What law did Jesus actually free us from? Do you know? Don't be confused about God's commandment because God is not the Author of confusion [I Cor 14:33].
