"I can say, as somebody who's been paying attention for the last 12 years, that there were a lot of people who weren't doing anything [or] concerned [or] ready to do something about it until COVID happened—until the lockdowns happened. Then people felt threatened, and they felt under fire. So they're like, 'Hey, we need to do something.'"
