Can a Gun Safe be transported lying down?
As long as you don’t drop it down. If you let it fall, your thousand-pound safe will damage your truck, van, or trailer, and the re-locker inside the safe will likely trigger, causing you to be locked out of your safe. If you let it down cautiously and carefully, there shouldn’t be an issue.

Can you store ammo in your Gun Safe?
Sure. Why not? Many people prefer to keep ammo and guns separate for safety reasons, and that’s fine as well. You can buy two safes if you’d like to do that. We even have our Ammo Can safe that you can purchase.

Can a Gun Safe be too dry?
Yes. We recommend keeping low humidity in your safe. Between 30-50% is best. Above 50, rust will start to develop. Below 30, paper may become brittle, wood may start to crack, and even jewelry may start to discolor. All things to look out for.

Are Gun Safes worth it?
Very much so. Owning a gun safe, even if you don’t own any guns, is a great place to store all kinds of valuable items. Just make sure you buy a safe that is UL listed and has a fire rating.

Are Gun Safes bulletproof?
That really depends on the safe and the caliber of the bullet. Multiple people on YouTube have tried to shoot into a Liberty Safe. Smaller rounds, like a .22LR or 9mm, chipped the paint but barely scratched the steel. Larger bullets, like a .338 Lapua or .50 BMG, were able to punch their way through.

Are Gun Safes tax-free?
Possibly. Some states are currently offering tax exemptions on gun safes to promote child safety. If not tax free, some states will occasionally offer rebates on safes purchased within a certain time frame. Check your local and state laws to see if any of this is available to you.
