Light clubs vs Heavy clubs

Light clubs are fast and are excellent for rehab/prehab and improving mobility.

Heavy clubs are excellent for building grip strength, shoulder strength and can be used as a full body strength and conditioning tool much like any other free weight.

The heavier the club, the slower the movement and the more it will challenge your balance and stability.

Heavy clubs require a wider stance (hip width) to resist being pulled off balance as the club moves around the body.

Here’s a quick video demonstrating swinging the club at the following weights.

0.5kg, 6kg, 10kg, 16kg and 20kg.
