Band of Brothers features different types of leaders and varying leadership styles. Winters being the best of them. Speirs is an extremely effective combat leader, and maybe the man you'd most want next to you when decisive action needs to be taken. I've read some about Dyke and his character on the show doesn't reflect the record of the man. In the show he's the type of leader who "fails up".
