Call of Duty Warzone - can changing from HDMI to DisplayPort 1.4 make such a massive difference ?

swapped out the HDMI cable for an DisplayPort 1.4 today with the basic materials project computer, the difference is astounding really. Boots up faster, loads webpages faster, loads Call of Duty faster. Unbelievable. It feels much more like it.
