CRV 1-2-3, Episode Six: Front Strut Removal, Replace Strut Mount, and Install HRG 2 inch Spacer

CRV 1-2-3 documents - in ten-ish minute videos - the trials I went through in turning a salvage title CRV EX AWD into something drivable. This vehicle came from New England. There were dead cockroaches throughout, it smelled like someone had died in it, and the rust. OMG, the rust. They use so much salt up there I was shocked that any of the car's frame remained. In episode one I show you how to start taking apart the front suspension. ALL OF IT HAD TO BE REPLACED!!!!

In this episode: we remove the front struts, compress and remove the strut springs, replace the rotted out strut mounts, spring seats, bump stops, and dust boots, and then, finally, we install Honda Rescue Garage's 2 inch spacers. We also install new KYB front struts, which I highly recommend. Always, if you can, get OEM (or close to OEM) struts. Car repair
