Oklahoma City release police shooting that sends man to hospital after armed confrontation

One man from the west side of Oklahoma City is in the OU Medical Center recovering from being shot by three officers with the Oklahoma City Police Departmentn (OKCPD.)

Sunday, around 10 a.m., officers were sent to 4049 N.W. 10th Street in response to calls about an “armed man” making “threatening statements,” OKCPD MSgt. Gary Knight stated in a press release.

Once at the address, three officers “quickly became engaged in an armed confrontation” with Ralph Tuggle, 61, who police say was also armed.

Tuggle was shot but survived and is in OU Medical Center.
