Townsvillain VW Baja Beetle coupling bushing replacement for installation of Bug-Tech shifter

Made a massive difference but can’t access the transmission tunnel to shift the shift bushing which looks like the rotting corpse of a zombie !!!! It is missing the ring to secure the bushing so until I figure out what that can be replaced with (why isn’t it part of the fricking replacement part!??? Are you bloody kidding ?????!!! Haha) I will have time to modify the front panel to allow future access to the transmission tunnel…
