To start their day, most people like to have coffee and Jodi is one of those people. However, unlike most people, Jodi drinks caffeine-free coffee because she has a bad reaction to caffeine. She specifically likes Dandelion coffee, and her favorite brand is the Tachini Dark Roast. Using the remainder of her coffee from the previous day, Jodi adds a list of ingredients to complete her coffee making process.

When she makes her coffee, Jodi uses several ingredients—all organic and sustainably grown. She uses the master blend of 10 mushrooms by OM, which is the end product of a combination of 10 different mushrooms and 3 adaptogenic herbs. She likes the OM brand because their products are grown on oats and not rice, and research shows that products grown on rice may negatively affect consumers’ brains. Next, she uses monk fruit which is a sweetener but is zero glycemic. This way, she gets to enjoy the sweetness of life without poisoning herself. Then because it is important that we have our protein every morning, Jodi uses the Sun Warrior Protein Warrior Blend. Some ingredients the protein blend contains include fermented pea protein goji berry, organic hemp seed, organic vanilla and gagum, etc. Additionally, it has a huge amino acid profile which is great because amino acids are important to our health. The specific Amino acids the protein contains include lysine, glycine, cystine, etc. Last of all, it contains zero sugar—this is one of her favorite things about the Sun Warrior Protein Warrior Blend.

Although she doesn’t do it every time, the other thing Jodi uses when making her coffee is a dandelion tincture. The reason she particularly like dandelion products is because they are medicinal, and they act as a detoxifier which helps keep our livers clean. Going further, she adds echinacea for immune boost. Echinacea is of tremendous support to the immune system. Although there are other great brands of echinacea you can use, Jodi prefers to use the Herb Farm brand because it’s responsibly produced. Then finally, she adds Elmhurst Milked Cashews which has basically two ingredients—filtered water and cashew nuts. It is unsweetened, super creamy and is nature’s antidepressant.

Jodi’s Coffee Recipe Summarized:
- Tachini Dark Roast (caffeine free)
- Two scoops of OM’s Master Blend Mushrooms
- Monk fruit
- Two scoops of the Sun Warrior Protein Warrior Blend (You don’t need much for the coffee so use a small scooper).
- Several drops of Dandelion tincture
- A couple of tinctures of echinacea
- Add Elmhurst Milked Cashews
- Shake well and Drink

Taking into perspective all the ingredients used to make this coffee, whoever consumes it stands to both enjoy its great taste and experience great health benefits throughout the day. First of all, consumers stand to enjoy the sweetness of life without the risk of consuming any sugar. Secondly, the mushrooms used are adaptogenic, meaning they help consumers’ bodies adapt to their environment throughout the day and keep them grounded-- if you are an empath this is a benefit you will appreciate. Thirdly, consumers get a percentage of their protein requirement— it is even better because the protein used is vegan and contains no sugar. Lastly, consumers benefit from the antidepressant properties of the cashew nuts, the detoxifying properties of the dandelion and the immune boosting properties of the echinacea.

Note: that you don’t have to use caffeine-free coffee to follow this recipe; you can use it even for your regular coffee. Also, note that if you are interested, all the products used here are available in our dispensary except the monk fruit and the Tacchini Coffee. However, although the Tachini brand is what is used here, the dandelion coffee comes in many different flavors including the Dandy brand which is another favorite.
