My comments from the public hearing on Voter ID

Today I spoke at the public hearing on the Voter ID initiative which will be on the ballot in November. I support Voter ID, but until we remove the vulnerable machines from our elections, our elections will not be secure. What I sought to bring to light--which many voters may not even be aware of--is that this past spring, our Unicameral (in an amendment proposed by then-Senator Mike Flood) changed the definition of our "voting system" to now include "any software or service" in the "creating, casting, and counting" of ballots.

Do you want software helping you CAST your vote? (I don't.)
