MLB Wild Card Round TV Ratings Debut with Slight Disappointment

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred expanded the postseason this year...which debuted this past weekend. Rob Manfred hoped an expanded playoff field would increase viewership...with those hopes being dashed once MLB ratings were released.
We reveal and react to MLB TV ratings for the Wild Card Round. We compare MLB ratings to NBA ratings...showing that while the NBA is suffering through their own decline in popularity...the NBA is still more popular than Major League Baseball. We also compare MLB ratings to the single elimination Wild Card Round last year...showing a massive drop in viewership in 2022.
