Gabbard Tells Rogan That Making Right Wing Media Appearances Cost Her Friendships

Just hours after making a scathing speech announcing her departure from the Democratic party, Gabbard appeared on Tuesday's episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.

Rogan questioned Gabbard on the implications and repercussions of her appearance on Fox News or other right-wing media sources.

According to Gabbard, who has frequently been on Tucker Carlson's program, "It may be as simple as someone giving you a cynical look and asking, 'Whose side are you really on?'" To persons who just cut off a friendship or a business connection because they don't want to interact with you.

Have you had that experience? Rogan enquired.

"Continuously," Gabbard said. "And Tucker Carlson isn't the only one. Anyone who truly watches Fox News gets stigmatized negatively for almost as long as I have been in Congress.

"Hey, more people watch Fox News than any other cable news station, I thought to myself. If I get the chance to do so, I will be speaking to the people of America. By the way, over the past ten years, Fox News has been more fair to me in giving me the chance to address the American people than CNN or MSNBC. I'm going to benefit from it," Gabbard declared.

In response, Rogan said, "Well, it seems like one of the things that Fox News does well is that they don't criticize them, they allow them to express themselves, if they have a Democrat on."
