A pursuit in Fond du Lac ended with an arrest and the seizure of drugs.

Around 3:30 p.m. Monday, police received a call for a possible domestic abuse incident where the victim was a passenger in a vehicle, with the suspect as the driver.

Authorities spotted the suspect vehicle driving in the area of S. Main Street and 3rd Street and attempted to make a traffic stop.

The suspect ignored authorities and continued to drive away.

The vehicle eventually stopped in the 100 block of 3rd Street where the driver got out and tried to run away.

Officers were able to catch up to the suspect and take him into custody.

In the 29-year-old's possession was fentanyl and marijuana. The suspect was treated for minor injuries and later transported to jail. The suspect also had several outstanding warrants.

A Fond du Lac Sheriff's Office deputy and a Fond du Lac Police officer were injured during the foot pursuit and treated for minor injuries at the hospital.
