Somehow always relevant in some form, monarchs can punish many meta decks with soft locks thanks to their excellent field spell and can keep up with card advantage with a lot of their best spell and trap cards. Metting those tribute summons is also made easier thanks to eidea, eidos and other monarch vassals. I used this deck even in the duelist cup and they put in some work.
