Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 1: The Blood Warfare - Anime Review

Welcome to my review of the first episode of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War which is an adaption of the final arc of the manga, ten years in the making! There was a lot of hype surrounding the return of Bleach, and boy did it deliver. I can only imagine how longtime fans must feel. Anyway, this episode does a great job at setting up the new villain, Yhwach with appearances from all of our favorite characters such as Ichigo, Uryu, Orihime, Chad and many others. The Wandenreich have declared war against the Soul Reapers and there has already been a major casualty with the death of Sasakibe, the Vice Captain of Head Captain Yamamoto. As someone who has already read this arc in the manga, I can't wait to see it adapted in anime form, especially the parts that needed to have a better explanation.
