NPR says Biden’s pot pardon will help reverse the racist enforcement of the war on drugs.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
So, some advocates of the marijuana possession pardon say the decades-old war on drugs has imprisoned black and brown people at higher rates.
That may be true, but it was Biden that championed the 1994 drug laws that disproportionately went after crack over powdered cocaine.
More importantly, with over 100,000 people dying from fentanyl poisoning last year, should marijuana conviction pardons even be on the radar?
Fentanyl is now the #1 killer of people 18-45 years old. Has anyone ever died from a marijuana overdose?
Although I agree with the Pot Pardon, I would much rather see the federal government spending its time and our money on stopping Fentanyl.
