Dead Island ep 4 getting the water on and the fate of the rich

So after fighting our way through the city and dealing with gang members and looters we got to get the church clean water. So we help out with more side quests and close some hydrants to get the water pressure stable for the church. We then work our way to the sewers to meet the mayor in the rich district only for him to tell us to pound sand and leave them alone. So looks like were on our own while the city burns.
