The Atlanta Falcons were a defensive stop away from getting the ball back after scoring 15 points on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers late in the 4th quarter. What happened next was the worst display of referee favoritism I’ve ever seen. A bogus holding penalty then this called roughing the passer on Roger Goddell’s beloved Tom Brady all but stomped out any chance of an Atlanta comeback. Granted, if the Falcons had done SOMETHING in the first three quarters of play maybe the game doesn’t come down to the officials. It still stinks. Atlanta, you have heart. No matter what may happen the rest of the way, the fight you’ve shown in the first five games of the 2022 season has been impressive.
